CajunCrochet Dishcloth

I have tried many different dishcloth patterns but have not been completely satisfied so I came up with some of my own. This pattern is the one I settled on. I have found that this one works best for the type of dishwashing I have. Enjoy!

Thank you. No, it rinses right off your dishes.

I really love this stitch. It's called the Woven Stitch. I just finished a baby afghan with this stitch that I learned on another site.

Thanks for sharing.

Many of the cottons that contain red or burgandy tones will "bleed" or run unless you set the color. Whenever I knit a cloth that has red or burgandy in it, I soak the finished cloth in a solution of white vinegar and water for a few minutes. Then, just wash as usual. The white vinegar helps to set the color so it won't bleed. Just dump some white vinegar into cool or lukewarm water (small bowl of water with few tablespoons of vinegar - not any exacting measurements).

A kind tip from a Yankee LOL: after making colored cotton yarns dishcloths etc. Soak in white vinegar to set color before using. They actually use Kool-aid to dye the cotton yarn. After washing (with whites, color won't bleed after soaking in vinegar) you will not find the dishcloths or purses bleeding colors anymore! Also, if they start to smell sour soak in salt water before washing to take sour odor out. Hope this helps. *the reason you wash with whites is vinegar (white) is a mild form of bleach and may bleach spots on other clothes.*
